1. Hello,
   I read your article Express Delivery regarding precipitous births. I had what they call a precipitous birth with baby #2, start to finish was about two and a half hours. I agree with you that I think fast births are more common than is documented. I also believe the hospital facilitates the delaying of what might be a fast birth if it was elsewhere due to fear, lack of trust, interventions etc. Who thought up the idea of precipitous and gave it a negative connotation? But even more so what was involved in that mamas labor? For me, I had contractions on and off for about two weeks. Not strong but even to make me wonder if they were going any where. I may be labeled as having a fast labor but I would not agree with that all because my body was working hard before active labor to prepare and when active labor hit most of the work was done and my body work effectively and efficiently. I am writing because I am curious if you did any research of that aspect of it and if so the outcome.
